I have just started my PhD and my research is focused on plant-nematode interaction, mainly on the mechanisms of gene repression in giant cells induced by the endoparasitic nematodes Meloidogyne spp.. I had a first contact with nematodes as an undergraduate student and I have found them very interesting and challenging organisms, so at the end of my bachelor degree I decided to attend the Erasmus Mundus Program: European Master of Science in Nematology. During the Master I had the opportunity to study in several different European countries, including Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the UK and get in touch with people from all over the world. Besides the nematodes and the plants, I like traveling, reading and the contact with new cultures and languages.
